Kawaii Candy Corn Halloween Painted Rock
Yield: 1 rock
Estimated cost: $1
Whether you like the taste of candy corn or not, there's no doubt that they are adorable and emblematic of the Halloween season. This sweet, not spooky Halloween rock painting craft will be a hit with everyone.
materials:
- Triangle Shaped Rock
- Acrylic Paint (get it from Consumer Crafts or Amazon), Orange, Yellow, White, Black
- Clear spray sealer
tools:
- Paintbrushes
steps:
- Begin by painting the entire triangle shaped rock orange. Allow to dry completely.
- Next, paint the longer end of the triangle yellow. Let it dry completely.
- Next paint the tip of the triangle white. Allow it to dry completely.
- Now the candy corn rock is cute and could be sealed, planted or decorated just like this...but let's take it one step further by giving it a darling face.
- Use a detail brush and paint big black circles for eyes between the yellow and orange sections. Paint a tiny mouth below and between the eyes. Let the black paint dry completely. If you aren't confident using a tiny paintbrush, use a Posca paint pen instead.
- Finally, use the back end of the paintbrush and put 4 little dots inside the eyes.
- To finish it off, spray it with clear coat sealer.
