Creepy Halloween Painted Rocks Step 1: Moss!
Begin by painting some sage green moss on the gravestones.
The stones do not need any base paint because they are already the perfect grave markers.
The paint has a bumpy texture to it and really does look just like moss. Then let the paint dry.

Creepy Halloween Painted Rocks Step 2: More Moss!
Now dab the bright green moss around the headstones with a paint brush then let them dry.
Creepy Halloween Painted Rocks Step 3: Write on the Headstones
You could also add funny phrases, dates or even jokes to the front of the stones.
Creepy Halloween Painted Rocks Step 4: Ghosts
Next, paint the ghost rocks completely white and let them dry completely.
Creepy Halloween Painted Rocks Step 5: Paint faces on the ghosts
Use the fine tip paintbrushes to paint (or use a paint pen!) an adorable face on the ghosts. The greater than/less than symbols (> <) work great for eyes and a big booing circle mouth!
Creepy Halloween Painted Rocks Step 6: Seal!
Let the rocks dry and spray them with clear coat sealer spray.
Once dry, they are ready to rock in the fairy garden, harvested garden bed, or on a hike for people to find.
They are a cute Halloween set, perfect for all of October...or Rocktober.
